I often get this error in the websphere logs. I don’t have a clearviews, is this a bug, does anyone know about this approach?

Sphere-Web currently uses Oracle JDBC Thin Driver Adapter 9.2..

Yes, I wouldn’t swear it’s literally the same problem, but we’ve seen it before

StaleConnectionExceptions also with our Oracle Type 4 data source. Done

manager received a fatal connection error from the resource adaptor

Expand DataSource settings to allow at least 0 connections, IIRC,

So all unused connections have been cleared and it seems to be going on

I have seen situations where all firewalls were in between

Application server and database server, and the firewall closes

I often get this error on Web Sphere Firewood. I’m not quite

Idea found this on a bug, does anyone have a tactic for this…

Sphere-Web is currently installing Oracle JDBC Thin Driver Adapter 9.2..

Data to read socketDSRA0010E: from SQL state = null, error code implies 17.410

Changed minutes 0 connections. Now .thanx for solutions will work.

    Hello
We are currently having issues with our production world. We use the wiley watch tool and we see that the stalls often accumulate to 1 jvm (4 in total), then after 8 minutes but 42/43 seconds, we see that this is written in the logs shortly after:[9/18/09 11:43:23:716 IST] 00000626 ConnectionEve A J2CA0056I: The connection manager received a fatal generic error from the resource adapter for many jdbc/CMSL resources. Exception reached: com.ibm.websphere.ce.cm.Io staleconnectionexception: exception: Connection time out: java . sql .Io sqlexception:Exception: Connection timed out

The connection seems to hang. This also means thismistake? What does an I/O exception with web link timeout show? Our loss policy is set for the entire consortium, so I suspect that an old connection was detected by a software package that tried to drop the entire connection pool, but timed out, just waiting for all connections to complete so they could be reset. Is this correct?
    Our options:
the maximum number of connections is 100
    conns min. =10
    cleanup = pool full
    pretest connection=false

We have disabled directional connectivity from the pretest. From what I’ve read, I have several options:
    A) Set the required connection to 0 so that few or no connections remain open and therefore cannot age out.
    B) Set our cleanup policy to Connection Failed so that we don’t need to reset the entire pool, just the stale one. Will this prevent stop requests from being received?
    C) Set up a pre-test connection so that Websphere in turn tests the connection before passing it to the application, whichthe stale connection would not have been passed. My problem with this climate is that when the Websphere takes care of the connection before handing the application over to them, and the sources are outdated, we are now often not in the same nightmare, but at the Webspheres level. You need to reset the entire connection pool, and the chances of deadlocks accumulate while the site clears the entire pool?
